Storytelling in your school, or at your event:

My next public event is on August 7th, when I'm looking forward to telling stories in the lovely setting of Kelmarsh Hall walled garden.
The first in this pair of events, late in July, was in the superb ballroom there, so if it's wet, you get to sit in splendour with a view over the garden and a nice acoustic. Either way, bring things to sit on the floor, like cushions and picnic blankets. See their website for more details.

In order to have me telling stories in your school, or at your event, or just to make an enquiry, please

From late January 2017 I've had occasional problems with emails getting through. We think it's sorted, but please add a receipt request to every email you send me. If you don't get a response, try this one, again with a receipt request.

Costs:

Costs work on a realistic sliding scale, depending partly on the size of the event.

"Richard was definitely value for money. His care and confidence in his work and professionalism throughout shone through."
Melanie Williamson, Fargo Fusion community event, Coventry, Sept 2015.

Very good value compared to other visiting artists/musicians. We would definitely book you again!"
Rebecca Malin, Crick Primary School, Northants.

School story sessions will normally start at around 9.15, depending on your timetable.

Inc Society Musicians Logo My membership of the Incorporated Society of Musicians confers public liability cover, as long as music is involved during the presentation. There's another good reason for having the music!

Society for Storytelling Logo I'm a member of the Society for Storytelling;

My work has been accredited by Tabulae.   Tabulae Marque  Tabulae was set up to monitor the quality of historical interpreters.

See my Fbook logo for link Taleteller page on Facebook, and, if you do, please "Like" it too!

When I'm performing at events open to the public I usually post them up there.

In 2014 we opened
Feast of Fools storyclub logo for linkStorytelling at the Feast of Fools, Northampton's Storytelling club. More details here - and you're welcome to come and join us!

There are "path" images, on each page, more if you're seeing this on something larger than a mobile phone. They're all places I've been, pictures I've taken, and I leave it to you to work out why I chose so many "path" pictures on this site.

My work telling traditional stories and playing music for schools and museums is mainly in the counties of Northampton, Bedford, Buckingham, Oxford, Leicester, South Lincs, Rutland, Warwick, and Herts.

While most of my work is in schools, I love performing for other audiences too, and sometimes travel further afield - see the feedback from Castle Cornet, Guernsey above, where I was again in Aug 2015 and 2016!)
